If you already have already purchased a domain, and would like to point it to your website, follow these simple instructions to create and A record in your registrar (domain provider).
NOTE** If you are wanting to set your site up with a free SSL certification (recommended), skip these steps and scroll down to SSL SETUP
- Log into your domain name registrar, and navigate to the domain that you would like to use with your website.
- Click on the DNS editor (this may be called "Advanced DNS", "DNS Settings", or "Configure DNS" depending on your registrar.
- Next, you're going to want to add or edit an A record. If you were already pointing your domain to another website, you are going to want to delete or edit that one.
- Once you've located your A Record editor, you will want to add in 2 records with the following information. You will want to create both of these records within your DNS zone to ensure visitors typing www or not will both arrive at your site.
- Non-www
- Name/Host: @
- Type: A
- TTL: 1hr
- Value/IP/Data: 52.2.192.9
- With www
- Name/Host: www
- Type: A
- TTL: 1hr
- Value/IP/Data: 52.2.192.9
- Non-www
- Click save/add
Once you have entered the records and saved them, go to your account in the platform, click the "Website" Tool and in the dropdown, go to "Domain."
Here, you can enter the domain or subdomain that you want to use for your site. If using a top level domain (not a subdomain) please include the www. and then click submit. You will need to go into your site builder and republish your site.
If you'd like your site SSL secured at no additional cost, check the SSL checkbox before clicking submit. SSL setup. You will be provided with a new set of DNS records to enter into your DNS zone. Once you have the new records entered, please send a confirmation email to support@tech-toolbox.net including the business the site is set up for as well as the domain so that we can run verification.
SSL SETUP INSTRUCTIONS:
To set up your site with SSL certification, please follow these instructions.
- Log into your domain name registrar, and navigate to the domain that you would like to use with your website.

- Next, you're going to want to add or edit an A record and a CNAME record. If you were already pointing your domain to another website, you are going to want to delete or edit that one.
- Once you've located your record editor, you will want to add the new records with the following information.
- A Record
- Name/Host: @
- Type: A
- TTL: 1hr
- Value/IP/Data: 52.2.192.9
- CNAME Record
- Name/Host: www
- Type: CNAME
- TTL: 1hr
- Value/IP/Data: www.YOURDOMAIN.cdn.cloudflare.net
- A Record
For the CNAME, replace the YOURDOMAIN with your actual domain. So for example, if your domain is pizzalove.com, then your value will be www.pizzalove.com.cdn.cloudflare.net
Once you have entered the records and saved them, go to your account in the platform, click the "Website" Tool and in the dropdown, go to "Domain."
Here, you can enter the domain or subdomain that you want to use for your site. If using a top level domain (not a subdomain) please include the www. and then click submit.
Make sure both of your records are saved and send an email to support@tech-toolbox.net confirming that your website records have been created. Make sure you include the business name as well as domain that you are pointing in your email. Our team will then issue the SSL and your site will be live within a few hours.
