First Steps: Site Setup Wizard

Congratulations on taking your first step to creating a beautiful, professionally designed website! We are excited to take you through this process. Let's get started!

The first thing you need to do is sign up for an account. Next, you will enter the Template Gallery where you can explore the beautiful collection of website templates that you can use right away. Choose the style that appeals to you and click Use this template button.

Once you have chosen the template, you are taken to the Site Setup Wizard. 

Step 1: Add the required details

Here’s what you can do at Step 1: 

• Enter your website name. You can change it later in Website settings.
• Choose the category of the website you are creating, for example, business or online store.
• Enter your website description. This step is optional and you can edit this description later at any time.

Once you are done entering your details, click Continue.

Step 2: Choose your website type

At Step 2 of the Site Setup Wizard, you can choose the type of the website you want to create. You have the following options:

• Multi-page website: fully functional website complete with images and demo content. This website is built of several blocks professionally designed so fonts, images, and the layout are optimized for the best user experience on any device.
• Business card: this is a one-page digital introduction of your business containing a brief outline of what you do, a relevant image, and your full contact information. A Business card can serve as a placeholder mini-site replacing the “Under construction” page or as a building block for your multi-page site.
• Blank template: if you are not sure - or are completely confident in your website building skills - you can start from a blank page and populate it with Blocks pre-designed in full accordance with the template style. Learn more about building a site from a blank template.
  

Note: All colors, fonts, and effects are consistent throughout all the Blocks that you will use to build your website from scratch. You can choose a color palette later.

        Once you have chosen your site type, click Continue to go to Step 3.

If you want to make any changes, hit the Back button:

 Step 3: Add business essentials

At step 3, you can add more business details such as:

• Your logo. 
• Your business name
• Business description

Note: adding all of these details is entirely optional at this stage. You can always modify your business details in Website settings later.

Once you have added your details, click Continue. Otherwise, click Skip this step. 

Step 4: Add more business details

At Step 4 of the Site Setup Wizard, you can provide even more details about your business. You can add:

• Business address
• Contact details such as email, phone number
• Business hours
• Links to your profiles on social media

Note: adding all of these details is entirely optional at this stage. You can always modify your business details in Website settings later. 

Once you have added your details, click Continue. Otherwise, click Skip this step to add these details later.

8. You will be taken to the Website Editor where you can add blocks, customize your Website settings, and add content to your site.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up your website.
